Pet Doctors of America engaged Bacon Group, Inc. to renovate an existing restaurant into a technologically advanced animal hospital. The focus of the project was to create a modern-themed interior that would be a backdrop for a self-serve, partially automated veterinary service. The proposed design created a central arrangement of exam rooms that divided the public spaces from the staff spaces. A secondary function for dog boarding was also incorporated into the plan. An upgraded entry and front façade changed the curb appeal from a Perkins to a large blue barrel that will become a flagship symbol for future franchises throughout the Southeast.
